- Our colleagues in the Western NY Red Cross celebrated the re-opening of the first ever Red Cross chapter, located in Dansville, as was covered by NY1.
- Last Saturday, 36 Stony Brook University Freshmen helped clean Red Cross cots as part of their Community Service Day.
- With the ongoing summer blood shortage, Imana Naqui, Santiago Marquez and Joe Scalice shared why they donate blood and why it's so important to them.
- CBS NY reported that the #LIRedCross provided financial assistance to a Port Jefferson Station family after their backyard collapsed after the rainstorms last week. WSHU Public Radio also reported the Red Cross assisted dozens of affected residents.
- Last Thursday, QNS reported on the Red Cross assisting 3 families after an e-bike fire in Richmond Hill.
- News 12 and Norwood News reported on the Red Cross assisting 4 families after a fire on Decatur Avenue in the Bronx.
- The Rockland County Times reported on how the 5 Towns of Rockland Blood Drive Challenge, sponsored by State Senator Weber earlier in the month, surpassed its goals.
