- We celebrated this Father’s Day with our Instagram series highlighting incredible stories of Red Cross dads. Check them out here.
- We helped those affected by a fire in White Plains, offering emergency aid to six families on June 19.
- Last Thursday, Red Cross of Greater New York CEO Mary Barneby co-hosted a virtual presentation with New York Assembleyman Kenny Burgos on disaster preparedness.
- On June 15 and 16, PIX11 reported that our teams provided assistance following two fires in Hell's Kitchen, just down the street from our HQ on West 49th Street. Between the two incidents the Red Cross helped a total of 13 households.
- We were so proud to see our friend and dedicated volunteer, Doug McNally, featured by Stony Brook University News for his commitment to service.
Upcoming Events and Activities
- June 14 to June 30: The American Red Cross is facing a critical blood shortage — save a life and head over to a blood drive near you today. Those who donate receive a $5 Amazon gift card for the duration of this promotion.
- June 24: Assemblywoman Jessica Gonzalez will be joining Red Cross Greater NY CEO Mary Barneby for a virtual disaster preparedness seminar.
- June 28: Another virtual disaster preparedness seminar will also be held with Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar.
