Over the last seven days, the Greater New York Red Cross provided emergency assistance to 74 adults and 37 children for 51 local disaster responses. Here are some highlights from last week and a preview of upcoming activities. (See below)

Last Week in Review

• It has been quite a year. This article and slide show takes a look back at a year like no other for the Red Cross and for the communities we serve.

• Last Saturday, our team members honored our nation’s heroes by laying down wreaths at Long Island National Cemetery as part of National Wreaths Across America Day.
• NY News Day reported on how the Red Cross assisted 7 residents following a fire in New Cassel on Nassau County.
• We had our first major winter storm in the Greater New York region, and we shared several safety tips just ahead of it.
