Over the last seven days, the Greater New York Red Cross provided emergency assistance to 107 adults and 19 children for 55 local disaster responses. Here are some highlights from last week and a preview of upcoming activities. (See below)

- Last week we featured Marketing Program Manager Deepti Bherwani as part of our “Three Questions” blog series. Deepti discusses Red Cross “Kid Kits,” a new set of supplies specifically geared towards children coping with the aftermath of disaster that she helped develop.
- On Monday, our team member from Long Island Vito L. Reciniello returned from his mission in Northern California and shared pictures of the wildfire’s aftermath.
- Our Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to a fire in Suffolk County, Long Island and assisted a family of four.
- Our volunteer Maria L Anguiano shared an update about her work in Louisiana following Hurricane Zeta.
